*** UPDATE: 2nd January 2007 - FILE NOW FIXED! ***

The original files do not work! Please delete the following files from your Downloads folder(s):

CASface_00_Alien_CP.package
CASface_00_Alien_F.package
CASface_00_Alien_M.package

Please download the new file provided below!

Thanks to terrakosmos for testing the originals and finding a simple solution to the problem with them. I have 100% tested the new file and I can now guarantee that it will work in-game.

NOTE: (1) Polinator Technician will appear with Maxis alien skintone and eyes in the family tree of all abduction offspring. (2) For some bizarre reason all abduction offspring as babies look exactly like normal Sim babies (apart from the skin and eyes). Alien genetics do not kick in until they become toddlers. *see new image attachment* (3) In my testing it seems that with this file all offspring always inherit the alien skin and eyes textures.

To change the Maxis skin and eyes use any default alien package for either of you own choice. I personally use the default alien green file by PattyMcPat2666 for alien skin in my game.

*** end of update ***

Here are my replacements for the Maxis alien face defaults. Let's admit it, the Maxis defaults for the alien "Polinator Techs" is quite frankly horrific! It can result is some pretty darn fugly offspring after a successful abduction. Especially if the child inherits the alien eyes....they're practically out on storks.

Anyway, I was inspired by terrakosmos' CAS face default replacements (which I use in-game) to make an improved alien face default file that'll help prevent any butt ugly alien/sim offspring. It won't stop you getting fuglies all together as it does depend on the abducted Sim's genetics in the first place. You may get an odd looking one, but at least they will not be bug-eyed horrors or half as ugly anymore. You can see examples of the differences between the two archetypes in the pictures below.

The replacement default isn't that dissimilar to the Maxis default archetype. Most notably the eyes are much smaller, more almond shaped, set closer together, and set much further back into the skull. No more eyes on storks! The eyebrows above are thinner and more elegantly arched. The face profile is slightly more rounded. The ears are now small and pointy. The jaw line and cheek bones are more chiselled and tapered. And the teeth rarely ever pop out of the mouth as they do with pure breed Maxis alien offspring, and it's not very noticeable when it happens.

This is my first upload to MTS2 so I hope these files work, please let me know if you have any problems. I tested them as a CAS face replacement adn they seemed to be fine. The files are named similarly to terrakosmos' CAS face default files so they'll slip intot he collection nicely. Thanks go to Motoki for the face template tutorial and of course to terrakosmos for her great CAS faces replacements.

These are not retroactive. Any alien sims born before installing these will look the same as it did before. Only new alien offspring after installation will inherit the new alien archetype.

Eyes in the pictures were by Amun-Ra and the alien skintone is by Louis @ Simcribbling.
