Though the idea of a treasure hunt object like the Time Capsule is fun, I've never really liked the actual object.
EA's decision to have a futuristic, metallic design, made it look out of place, especially when playing a historical game.
That means having to hide the little treasure boxes in you Sim's inventory or even worse, being forced to unwrap them hurriedly, rather than being able to proudly display the boxes at home or in a private museum.
There goes all hope for a merry unwrapping party with your Sim friends and fellow club members. That is, unless you happen to have Ye Olde Time Capsule installed.
Ye Olde Time Capsule transforms any base game time capsule into a handcrafted antique ebony box with finely worked brass fittings. A fine treasure indeed.
No more hiding your finds. With Ye Olde Time Capsule, you can display them proudly, even unopened, whatever century your Sims live in.

Ye Old Time Capsule is an override for a spontaneously generated game object. Once placed into your Mods folder it will change the appearance of all Time Capsules. If you want to change the Time Capsules back to their original form, just remove the mod from your Mods folder.
