Here is another entry in my knock-off, "totally not New York, you guys!" series of maps. The first one I uploaded (Empire City) was one of the first maps I ever made and it really shows. I thought I'd take the opportunity to make a nicer one now that I have some more experience with making maps.

Stilport is designed to be used to build an urban metropolis, mainly inspired by Manhattan island but with a little bit of Pittsburgh thrown in too. It features a flat central island nestled between two rivers, connected to each shore by a number of bridges. There are smaller sections of buildable space on each opposite shore for your upper-class enclaves or mini-suburbs. The street grid structure is optimized for placement of 5x5 lots (i.e. it's designed so that you can flush-fit a 5x5 lot inside each grid square with no wasted space) but of course, you can fill it up with smaller ones for a denser sprawl.

As always, I recommend you use a camera hack to get the full benefit out of the map but it still works without it.

To install, extract the files to your Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/SC4Terrains folder.

Any comments and constructive criticism are welcome!

To get rid of the jagged "saw tooth" pattern along the diagonal edges of the main island, visit my Man-Made Archipelago download thread for instructions on how to remove them using the modifyneighberhoodterrain cheat.
