Welcome over here too. Also since you are new to playing Sims 2 I will give you a very quick rundown on what not to do to your game. Trust me most if not all of us did these things at one stage and learnt the hard way!

1. Never ever delete sims by clicking that rubbish bin. It doesn't delete them properly and bits of the sim's file will attach to other sims and cause all kinds of troubles.

2. Never delete graves, they are just sims in a different form.

3. Never put occupied lots into the houses bin and that includes lots with graves.

4. Never install occupied lots into your game.

5.Never use the cheat 'delete all characters' Again deleting sims = very bad idea.

If you use boolprop or any kind of mod to make sims selectable never do so to the Grim Reaper or the therapist. These sims are not real sims but a type of object and making them selectable will bork your installation files. There are more of these characters. Some come with EP's you don't have yet.

There are other things but those are the main ones.

The good news is you only borked that hood. The trash can next to the hood is perfectly safe to use so you can just delete that hood and start fresh.
It's not your fault as EA never fixed it.

No you don't need to reinstall. Reinstalling is only for fixing problems in your installation files and there is nothing wrong with those. This damage occurred in your Documents/EA Games folder. If you did this to a game hood such as Pleasnatview you can get it back.

Yeah I figured as much to just download the neighbourhood. And yes I did it to pleasantview lol

O it seems that it re-creates itself since it is N001

No need to download anything the hood is right there in your installation files. You just delete the corrupt one, and copy paste the one in your installation files into it's place.

It's not, it's on your C drive or whatever drive you installed your games on. The hoods can resporn if you delete all of them. I wasn't 100 sure on collection packs (UL is a collection pack) as all my EP's and Sp's are separate. The link I gave before gives you the path from 'my computer or computer' into the files. Oh also don't do this while your game is running.

If you have any more trouble it would be best to post a thread on the game help board.
