How do you even get PlantSims in the game?! I thought it was temp. patched in to Sims 4.

You don't know how long I've waited for this. I had to remove Plantsims from game altogether because I was so bored with their looks but now I can add them back again, thank you.

I think there's another method, but I always just grab the forbidden fruit straight from the debug!

You can also make them by using testingcheats true klick sim with shift and there should be option to

Yep! The hair slot is open once again, so you can use whatever hair you want whether it's by EA, cc, etc.
