Default Cat Sizes
http://www.simtimes.de/screens/pets_--_129.htm

The twi icons for cat (sizes, I guess...)

Would that mean fat or skinny.
Or small cat vs. large.

Seems like in the screens they are all kinda the same size, though.

Any thoughts?

No, that means if you want your cat sitting down or standing up!

I agree, it looks like a kitten and a docile adult cat, so I'm guessing ages.

but isnt there three ages? young, adult and elder?

I'm going with kitten and adult since I saw another screenshot of the loading screen after you make a family and they had two kittens on the screen.

I really hope you can make HUGE cats. I had a dream about a cat the size and colour of a golden retriever and I really want to make it now...
...It was such a nice cat...

I don't think you can select elder in Create-A-Pet. They're going to live shorter than sims and have no aspirations, so there's no point in being able to make old pets for your family...

You can only make adult/elder pets in create-a-pet. Puppies/kitties have to be born much like sims babies.

Making kittens/puppies in CAS(P) would be like making babies there, it would be to easy to get the cute pets. (Maxis knows everyone wants cute little kittens and puppies) so they'll make us work to get it so people don't get bored and think "Well my pets died I've seen through a whole life span so theres nothing more to see." This way you start with an adult/elder and live it through to generation two where you can finally begin to experience the full life of a pet.
