Default Should I get Super Caw?
I have been debating on whether or not to try it, like what can you do with it that you cant in regular caw? Is it buggy?

I had it in the past and had to reinstall all a few years ago when had to reset my computer to factory settings. I wanted to have it again as wanted the working lighthouse. I dreaded setting it up again as recalled it was a bit of a pain in the past. It is much easier to install and have up and running now. For me, to have that one feature alone is worth it. And there are so many other things that it can do, that I need to learn to use it even more. I vote yes to get it.

SuperCAW gives you more options but it IS buggy. The search function regularly makes it crash. So, apart from using it for specific tasks (e.g. changing world type, checking for water planes, adding effects) I would recommend to stick with CAW for most tasks. World building as in terrain forming, placing lots and roads can be done just as well with CAW. You would have more options for decorating with SuperCAW, but then, it was recommended to not place too many items that can be used by sims off lots.
So, it's definitely worth getting, but I would use it only rarely, and then for very specific tasks, not for world building in general.

Thanks everyone, the main reason I wanted it was to make a lake on a higher elevation and add a lighthouse light but tbh I can live without it, I have really bad anxiety and ocd so might not be good for me to get into :L

You can make water planes without SuperCAW, in fact as I mentioned in my previous post, EA don't recommend using SuperCAW for Ponds.
Follow this method:

Get Sandrine's waterplane tool:

Also, you can get objects such as the lighthouse beam into your world by splicing it in from another world, although this is more complex than using SuperCAW and was something I devised before we had SuperCAW.

I would say that SuperCAW is no more buggy than the basic CAW tool; I've used it for many hours to make several worlds and have found it to be pretty stable. I've also used the pond tool with no issues in worlds I've played for many generations. If you just download the pre-compiled exe and pop it into your CAW install, you should find it pretty easy.
