i wouldn't care if pets took up a family slot... i have like fourteen sims in each of my families anyways lol

But like I said earlier there are only 7 sims/pets in that household. No evidence that you can have 8 on either bars

To be honest I have problems controlling 4 Sims..the thought of 8 Sims and 8 pets make my head spin...and I have been playing this game since the dinos walked the Earth (ok since the first Sims1).

The skunk is back? oh rats...did they leave any of the things I needed hacks for out? :doh

I think it's like the Sims 1: The pets take up space in the regular family bar, but controlling them is limited. I don't know why it bothers you, though. There's a hack that allows you to have as many family members as you want. **shrug** It doesn't conflict with anything, either.

on the official sims2 website they have a chat room they only open for special events.


I think it's been said places that you can't directly control your pets-- you have to use a sim to tell them what to do. Very annoying! It's like having grownup toddlers!

I think there will be two bars because of the picture and in the breading part of the video there are 8 dogs at one point. (dolmations, like my dog.)

No it doesn't bother me, I really don't want to play more than four Sims, but thanks for the suggestion.

Well now we know: up to 8 sims, up to 6 pets, up to 12 characters total in any combination. So 8 sims and 4 pets, or 6 pets and 6 sims.

discordkitty I agree about the bar. Especially with that little branch that goes up to it, it takes up a LOT of space.

Still, I am glad they don't take up family slots. And who knows when that screenshot is from, maybe the final interface will look differently, or it will be something you can minimize.

At least - pets! That makes me happy!
