Default Lowering resolution for default grass texture
So I have a default replacement for terrain paint - grass - that is in 1024 px. I would like it to be in 512. Should be easy enough, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Could somebody please offer a piece of advise or a link to a tutorial?

Resize to 512x512 with Gimp/Photoshop, and replace the texture in the file in SimPE, using DXT3 or DXT5.

If you don't feel like going through the whole Gimp/Photoshop step, you can click the 512x512 mipmap (the list of textures to the left in the Plugin View in the TXTR), export this, and reimport with DXT. It should give you roughly the same result as resizing.

Changing the texture (It's how to make a default replacement file, but it shows how to use DXT texturing)

Enabling DXT/DDS if you don't already have it enabled:

@simmer22, I swore I already tried that and it didn't work... but now it did, at least I was able to save the file There are two parts in each - terrain-dkgreen_txtr and terrain-dkgreen_detail_txtr, I assume I need to update both of them. Thanks a lot for your help!
